Sathya Sai School in Cuernavaca, Mexico

In 2004 the teachers decided to donate their school to Sathya Sai Organization of México. This educational center was established under Montessori program, an educational theory created by Dra.María Montessori in the 19th century. 

This methodology could be adapted easily to Sathya Sai Education in Human Values Program. 

The school comprises: 

• children’s house (children from 4 to 6 years old, equivalent to preschool) 
• workshop one (children from 7 to 8 yeas old, equivalent to 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades of basic education) 
• workshop two (teens from 9 to 12 years old, equivalent to 4th, 5th and 6th grades of basic education) 

The maximum capacity of the school is 70 students. 

The school is located in a poor area outside the city of Cuernavaca. Most of our students come from families with little income:, however, parents who can give a monthly sum help with the administrative expenses. The Sai Trust of México financially supports the 10% of the kids from the poorest families. With the help of Sai volunteers these families are provided medicines, clothes, and food.
